Shawn’s Personal Website
About Me
Hi, I’m Shawn 👋 Welcome to my website!
I am a second year Medical Physics PhD student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) advised by Prof. Arion Chatziiannou. My research focus lies in radiation detection but my interests are quite broad. Lately, I’ve been tinkering with artificial intelligence (AI) and I am hoping to incorporate it into my research in the near future.
Outside of physics, I love to cook, watch movies and shows, and do just about anything with my loving girlfriend. I also used to write a lot in my free time, which is actually the main reason I decided to create this website. I plan to share both science and non-science based blog posts from time to time, so keep an eye out!
Please feel free to email me at shawn.shin@ucla.edu with comments, suggestions, or just to chat and say hi!
